Services for Individuals and Groups
Individual therapy
Individual Sessions (Ages 11–17)
Individual therapy begins with an initial session that includes three parts:
A conversational assessment to get to know each other
Completion of any needed paperwork together
A gentle introduction to the space, including opportunities to explore indoor plants and the outdoor grounds
Ongoing sessions follow a consistent rhythm:
We begin with an in-office check-in
The bulk of the session involves an horticultural activity related to therapeutic goals
We close with time for reflection—paying attention to thoughts, emotions, and body responses
Clients are always welcome to opt out of horticultural activities if they prefer a traditional office session. Multiple ways of engaging with plants and/or the natural world will always be available, so therapy can be tailored to each person’s comfort level and interests.
