Hi, I’m Sarah (she/her).

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over two decades of experience supporting individuals and communities. Alongside my clinical practice, I’ve also dedicated 14 years to social work education, training the next generation of helping professionals. Each of these experiences has shaped the way I show up with clients: with respect, curiosity, and a belief in everyone’s capacity for growth and change.

I’ve worked with unhappy, withdrawn, reactive, argumentative teens & tweens who needed to slow down, apply more logic to their emotions, learn coping skills, and find their path to a happier life.

Life is tough for adolescents: I know this as a therapist and as a mom. This generation is so pulled toward technology & numbing out with things that ultimately overstimulate them.

I became a Registered Horticultural Therapist (HTR) to help give them another place to focus their energy while we work on managing emotions. The metaphors don’t stop when taking care of plants & taking care of ourselves. Working with plants in therapy is a great way for kids to start learning to ground themselves.

For many of us, connecting with plants, gardens, or simply the natural environment opens new pathways for healing and self-understanding. I’ve seen this occur for participants in summer HT groups I’ve facilitated. This approach helps young people strengthen coping skills, practice emotional regulation, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

My goal is for each person to find tools that truly fit their life, in a space where they feel heard and supported. I believe therapy can be that container, where we come to understand ourselves what works for each of us. Whether navigating anxiety, interpersonal challenges, or big life changes, I’m ready to support your tween or teen.
